Another Keith Thurman fight has fallen through, but this time through no fault of his own. The WBC and multiple media outlets report that super welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora suffered a hand injury ahead of their planned title bout two weeks from tomorrow, with promoter Sampson Lewkowicz telling ESPN that “Towering Inferno” will return to action in January.

Had the show proceeded as planned, it would have made 2025 Fundora’s first three-fight year since 2020; his previous efforts saw him truck Chordale Booker in four this past March before hammering Tim Tszyu into submission in their July rematch. Thurman (31-1, 23 KO) has had one multi-fight year since 2015.
