The song that Yağmur will perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi has been chosen.

Nurlana Jafarova, the Head of Delegation for Azerbaijan, has revealed on social media that they have selected the song that Yağmur will perform at Junior Eurovision. Details of the song, which has been chosen internally, and its release date have not been announced yet.

Yağmur will represent Azerbaijan on their return to Junior Eurovision after last participating in 2021. She was selected from over 60 applicants, of which 15 were invited to in-person auditions. Yağmur is 12 years old and has been performing since she was 8 years old. Among her favourite singers are Michael Jackson, Aygun Kazimova and Jennie from Blackpink.

Azerbaijan will return to Junior Eurovision this year for the first time since 2021. On their last appearance in the contest, Sona Azizova finished in 5th place with the song “One of Those Days”. This was Azerbaijan’s best result to date.

Azerbaijan debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest at the 2012 contest in Amsterdam. The nation had previously attempted to participate in the contest in 2008 but withdrew before the competition was held. The country’s record in the contest has not been as strong as in the Eurovision Song Contest. Azerbaijan’s best result came in 2021 on their last appearance in the contest, where Sona Azizova placed 5th with the song “One of Those Days”.
