Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank will hope to see his side continue their strong start to the new Premier League season when they face Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

The Lilywhites have lost just once in their first seven games of the new league campaign, and a 2-1 victory over Leeds United last time out lifted the North London side up to third in the top flight standings.

Frank will hope to see his side emerge victorious against a Villa side that have struggled so far this term and won just two of their opening seven games.

In the build up to the match, it has emerged that Spurs are keeping tabs on a Danish starlet.

According to CaughtOffside, Tottenham are one of several Premier League sides keeping tabs on Porto midfielder Victor Froholdt.

The report claims that Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal are also monitoring the 19-year-old, while Brighton and Hove Albion are also credited with an interest.

Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are another side said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder, who joined Porto from Danish side FC Copenhagen over the summer.

The teenager has already featured ten times for Porto across all competitions, scoring once and providing two assists.

Froholdt is contracted to the Portuguese giants until the end of the 2029/30 campaign after signing a long-term deal when joining the club, but his impressive performances have already alerted other clubs despite him being just a matter of weeks into his career in Portugal.

It is claimed that, while several Premier League sides have scouted the young midfielder, Arsenal are showing particular interest in the player ahead of the January transfer window.

The report also suggests that Porto could consider selling the player for a fee in the region of £42-53 million.
