Docklands will seek to repeat his surprise Royal Ascot triumph when he lines up in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Saturday and has trainer Harry Eustace excited by the challenge of taking on the returning Field Of Gold.

Owned by OTI Racing, Docklands has excelled on the straight mile course at Ascot, winning three times and finishing no worse than third in four other attempts on the track. In June, he claimed his biggest win with a thrilling nose success from Rosallion in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes.

The five-year-old’s major performances have been on good to firm going and Ascot’s clerk of the course, Chris Stickels, is anticipating good, good to firm in places on the straight course for Qipco British Champions Day, a plus towards the chances of Docklands adding another big-race win to his haul.
