Trigger warning: This article contains mentions of depression and anxiety

Cassy Legaspi disclosed that she has been diagnosed with depression and anxiety.

On her YouTube channel, the Sparkle star gave an update on her well-being and shared that her conditions were verified after undergoing medical consultation, adding that she is working through them.

The journey, however, has been profoundly challenging, particularly while navigating the pressures of public life.

“You have a responsibility and a role to fulfill, so that would be the hardest part. Cameras, you can’t really, like, show, well, at least for me, personally, I need to be professional, so I can’t let my emotions get in the way,” Cassy said.

The actress credited professional help as a key tool in navigating her struggles.

“Therapy really worked for me, and I really hope that it gets normalized here in the Philippines. Actually, everywhere. I hope it’s normalized everywhere, but mostly here in the Philippines, and I wish that people had more access to it,” she said.

Cassy encouraged her viewers to seek help if they have the means.

“You learn a lot in therapy and I really want to normalize it, especially here in my channel na go for it, guys. If you have the means to go for it. I am very blessed that I am able to seek help from a therapist and I will also try to find a way to help my viewers as well,” she said.

Cassy is starring in “Hating Kapatid” with her family, parents Carmina and Zoren, and twin brother Mavy.

Earlier this year, Cassy also revealed that she was diagnosed with hypothyroidism.
