Ceder Lawn Nursing Home, in Braishfield Road, Dunwood Manor Care Home, in Dunwood Hill, and Waverley Lodge Nursing Home, also in Dunwood Hill, have been sold alongside the New Forest Nursing Home in Lyndhurst.

The homes were previously managed by Allegra Care, which recently took the strategic decision to sell to focus more on purpose-built homes that they felt could provide better accommodation and care for their residents. The sale was completed by a specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

Following a confidential sales process with Charles Phillips at Christie & Co, where multiple offers were received, the homes have been sold to existing care home operators for undisclosed prices.

New Forest was sold to Dalton Care Group, Cedar Lawn to Inspiricare Group, and Dunwood Manor and Waverley Lodge to Ikshana Management Company Ltd.

Helen Jones, CEO of Allegra Care, said, “We are delighted to have found buyers for our Hampshire homes, and it has been a pleasure working with them and Christie & Co to ensure a smooth transition process took place for both the residents and staff. We have worked hard to ensure the homes were sold to suitable owners who will continue to look after the residents and continue the work we have done in the homes. We wish all of the new owners the best of luck and look forward to seeing the homes flourish.”

Dr Alan Jumaily, Director at Inspiricare Group, which has bought Cedar Lawn, said, “It was an absolute pleasure working with Charles Phillips and the Allegra team on the acquisition of Cedar Lawn Nursing Home earlier this year. The Inspiricare Group has continued to build on the exemplary standards of care set by Allegra, and the home is an exceptional asset to the community.”

Dr Pramod Prabhkaran, Director of Ikshana Management Company Limited, which purchased both Dunwood Manor and Waverley Lodge nursing homes, said, “We are delighted to have completed the purchase of Dunwood Manor and Waverley Lodge and are excited about the journey ahead. As owners, we have a strong medical/healthcare background and hope that this will assist us in supporting the staff to continue their great work, which will benefit our residents and their families.”

Charles Phillips, Director – Care at Christie & Co, added, “The amount of interest expressed in these homes was extremely good, and multiple offers were received from a range of different types of applicants. We are very pleased to have sold all of the homes for Allegra Care and to have done so on a confidential basis so as not to affect the smooth running of the homes.”
