The seniors’ section at Weymouth Golf Club has made a generous contribution to the golfing experience at the club by donating two beautifully crafted three-seater wooden benches.

These benches have been strategically placed next to the 18th green, providing a comfortable spot for players to complete and sign their scorecards after finishing their rounds of golf.

The need for new seating has been felt since the original benches were removed some time ago due to wear and tear, and the seniors are delighted to see this project come to fruition.

Senior captain Tristan Murless expressed his satisfaction with the addition.

He said:  “I am pleased that the two wooden benches have now been replaced and am more than happy for the seniors to be involved in this endeavour.”

The club also made a special acknowledgment to committee member Mike Lamb, who took personal responsibility for ensuring that the project was completed on budget and on schedule.

His dedication and effort have been instrumental in bringing the initiative to life, enhancing the overall experience for golfers at the club.
