The domestic rugby league season might be over but there is still plenty of international action and here’s how you can watch it on TV.

English fans might be forgiven for thinking it’s just about the Ashes this off-season but they’d be wrong as the Pacific Championships are also taking place, and they look as competitive as they’ve ever been.

With holders Australia not playing for the title on account of their series against England, it makes for a wide-open competition with New Zealand, the 2023 winners, as well as Samoa and Tonga having relatively even chances at winning the comp.

They’ll compete for the Pacific Cup but below those three sides is the Pacific Bowl competition with Papua New Guinea, Fiji and the Cook Islands all competing with plenty of Super League stars set to be in action.

This weekend, just four Super League players will be involved though and you can watch the two games in England and here’s how.

There’s also two Women’s internationals and a Lancashire versus Yorkshire Women’s Origin match to get stuck into.

How, when and where to watch rugby league on TV this week

There’s three games on Saturday but it’s an early start with Papua New Guinea taking on the Cook Islands in the first of the Women’s Pacific Championship matches.

That game forms a double header with Fiji and the Cook Islands in the men’s comp with incoming Castleford Tigers recruit Semi Valemei set to feature, as well as Taane Milne and Esan Marsters.

Saturday afternoon then sees Lancashire and Yorkshire go head to head in the second Women’s Origin with Lancashire having won the opener 50-8 at Craven Park in August.

There’s just the two games on Sunday and it’s an even earlier start, a 3:35 am one, if you want to watch New Zealand and Samoa go at it in the Women’s comp, with the men playing two and a half hours later.
