Widnes Vikings are pleased to share that our IMG score has increased from 8.6 last year to 9.39, moving the club up the rankings from 22nd to 19th overall.
This represents a meaningful step forward, particularly in light of the significant changes to the grading pillars introduced this year.
While the headline figure may appear to show a modest increase, it’s important to add context. If assessed under the 2024 grading pillars, our score would rise to 12.24 – a much more accurate reflection of the progress and development seen across the club and through the work of the Viking Sports Foundation.
We have not seen how we fare against others ahead of the announcement earlier today but will have more information to feed back at the Viking Voice Event on Monday.
Now that the first twelve teams competing in the 2026 Super League have been confirmed, we await the outcome of the independent panel’s decision regarding the 13th and 14th places.
