Arkéa – B&B Hotels folding has made the transfer market even more crowded. Photo courtesy of SWpix.

On Wednesday, we finally received confirmation that Arkéa-B&B Hotels would fold at the end of the season, with the men’s, women’s, and U23 teams all set to shut down. It’s a dire time for French cycling, with 150 individuals, made up of riders and staff, seeing their squad disband.

Generally, it’s quite bleak out there, with probably 4-5 riders competing for each available spot on the market. A few teams, such as Jayco AlUla, Ineos Grenadiers, and presumably Soudal Quick-Step, as well as Unibet Tietema Rockets, aren’t entirely full, but it’s really tough for around 60-80 riders on the men’s side.

I don’t have details on every Arkéa -B&B Hotels rider yet, but here’s what I’ve gathered over the last 24 hours. Some of these moves have already been confirmed, while there are updates on several other riders.
