Marie Emeh & Eliza to the Final of the Voice Kids Malta – Eurovoix

Destiny has selected the two singers from her team who will compete in the final of The Voice Kids Malta.

The second of the three Sing-Off shows has taken place this evening, with Destiny selecting the singers from her team going through to the final on Saturday night. The three singers and the songs they covered this evening were:

Marie Emeh – “If I Were A Boy” – First finalist
Alaiya – “River”
Eliza – “Reflection” – Second finalist

Destiny could select up to two singers from her team to go through to the final. The singers still to compete in the Sing-Off shows are:

Mia (14) – Sarah Bonnici’s team
Carly (12) – Sarah Bonnici’s team
Skye (10) – Sarah Bonnici’s team

The singers already through to the final are:

Rachele Maria
Aidan
Marie Emeh
Eliza

Ramires Sciberras represented Malta at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid with “Stilla ċkejkna”. He finished 5th in the final with 153 points. This was the first Junior Eurovision entry to be performed entirely in Maltese and Malta’s best result since 2018.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013, on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the contest with “The Start”. She was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015, Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia with the song “Not My Soul”. The country has hosted the contest twice, the first time in 2014 and then again in 2016.
