Warrington Wolves informed the Rugby Football League that they will forfeit the fixture, which was set to be played on Sunday, 27th July at Victoria Park in Warrington, due to player availability issues, leaving them unable to name a full team.
The RFL have confirmed that St.Helens Women have therefore been awarded a 0-48 scoreline victory, and that the match will not be rearranged, given the stage of the season.
Whilst the Saints are disappointed to not have the fixture be played on Sunday afternoon, we wish the Wolves Women the best and hope their player availability improves soon.
Our Women’s Academy fixture against Warrington Wolves which was set to be played also on Sunday as part of a double header will continue but will now kick-off at 12pm at Victoria Park in Warrington. Entry is believed to be £5 for adults or £2 for juniors/concessions.
