Steve Coogan has returned to the small screen with his beloved character in ‘How are you? It’s Alan (Partridge)’, but did you know that filing for the new show took place right here in Kent.
The six-part BBC mockumentary series following Alan Partridge as he attempts to reintegrate into British life after working in Saudia Arabia for a year. The series explores mental health issues which affect the British public.
Kent Film Office has confirmed that production visited Kent to film various scenes at the Castle Farm estate in Sevenoaks.
“Set within 1,200 acres of land with varied landscapes, thee Castle Farm estate includes lavender fields, hop gardens, apple orchards, bluebell woodlands and meadows. It is particularly popular for photoshoots and music videos but has also played host to The Beekeeper (2024), De De Pyaar De (2019) and Road Games (2016).,” says KFO.
It’s not the first time Coogan has used Kent as a location for Alan’s life, with a number of the associated Partridge books being set here, including ‘Alan Partridge: Big Beacon’, which sees the iconic character relocate from his beloved Norfolk to the Abbot’s Cliff on south coast of Kent.
‘How Are You? It’s Alan (Partridge)’ (2025) will air on BBC One from Friday 3rd October, with the episodes following weekly.
