Everton supporters will be able to consume alcholic drinks in their seats at Goodison Park next season. That’s after the club signed up to a pilot programme.

Everton Women will use the iconic venue as their new home from next season. The men’s team will begin 2025-26 at the state-of-the-art Hill Dickinson Stadium.

While the lure of Goodison is sure to make Everton Women more popular than ever, new regulations will allow fans to have a drink as they watch the game.

The pilot is trialling the responsible consumption of alcohol in seats next season and will apply to all Women’s Super League and League Cup fixtures at Goodison Park. FA Cup matches will not be part of the trial.

Chief Operating Officer for WSL Football, Holly Murdoch, said: “Expanding this trial for the new campaign, encompassing our Barclays WSL teams and additional Barclays WSL2 clubs, is part of our strategy to offer a best-in-class experience for our fans attending matches.

“Exploring giving supporters the choice to drink alcohol in the stands was something we were excited to trial and following such positive feedback from the proof-of-concept version, we’re looking forward to opening it up to more venues and equally, hearing from those at the heart of it – our clubs and supporters.”

Everton have confirmed that family areas will be in place for those who do not wish to be around alcohol sales. That will be maintained in The Enclosure between the Park End and the home dugout.

The pilot scheme has been implemented after two-thirds of supporters evaluated said they would be in support, with just under half (48 per cent) strongly backing it.

The new Women’s Super League season will get underway across the weekend of September 6 and 7, 2025. The fixture list in full will be confirmed on Friday, July 25.
