The Sun exclusively revealed that ex-EastEnders star Shona, 34, was in advanced talks for the jungle – a year after leaving the BBC soap.

She played fan favourite Whitney Dean from 2008 up until her exit in 2024.

A source said at the time: “Jungle bosses have been keen to sign up the soap queen for ages.

“Shona is Walford royalty and hugely popular with TV viewers, she’s got bags of charisma and producers think she’ll be a great campmate.

“Plus fans haven’t seen much of her away from Enders, so I’m A Celeb will be an opportunity for her to show a completely different side to her personality.

“Show bosses are already talking to some brilliant names for the new series.”

Kelly Brook

The Sun revealed model and radio host, 46, has been wooed with a big money offer to head Down Under.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Show bosses have been after Kelly as a campmate for years and think she could possibly be their sexiest contestant ever.

“She’s glamorous, witty and a familiar face to ITV audiences, having appeared as a panellist for Loose Women and other shows.

“She’s guaranteed to make perfect TV viewing.”

The insider added of the Heart FM DJ: “Many viewers will be excited to see her strip off for the famous jungle waterfall show too.”

Back in 2018, Kelly insisted she would never take part in the series.

She said: “I can just think of a million things I’d rather do.

“I’d rather go and work in my local pub.

“I don’t think I could, I really don’t, because I hate confined spaces.

“I don’t want to eat eyeballs or sheep testicles and all the things they have to eat on there.

“Even if I had a huge tax bill and I had to pay it really urgently, I still wouldn’t do it.”

She added: “It’s kind of like the beginning of the end in my opinion!”

Nick Ferrari

The Sun revealed outspoken political pundit Nick, 66, is in discussions to fly out to Australia for this year’s series in a big money deal.

A source said: “Jungle bosses think Nick would be a brilliant addition this year. Discussions are very much ongoing.

“He knows everyone in politics so he would have a wealth of Westminster gossip around the campfire. He’d also be likely to weigh in during rows and give his opinion.

“Producers are determined to bag him this year and are prepared to dig deep into their pockets for a lucrative fee.

“It would be the first time Nick’s fans would see him in an entertainment show. He’d definitely be out of his comfort zone.”

Vogue Williams

The Sun revealed Irish model and presenter Vogue, 40, is close to signing up for this year’s I’m A Celeb.

It comes a decade after her husband Spencer Matthews took part in the ITV show.

Spencer was removed from the camp after three days because he was secretly taking steroids. He did not tell ITV producers he was taking the pills beforehand.

A TV insider said: “Vogue would be one of the most glam signings I’m A Celeb has landed in years and they are thrilled.

“Her star is massively on the rise and this would be one of her biggest gigs yet.

“She is really fun and gets on with everyone, so bosses reckon she will be a hit with viewers.

“It will be a hard decision to go on the show, because it will mean so much time away from her kids, but she wants to fight her fears and go for it.

Spencer is a massive thrillseeker and is always off on an adventure, but now it is Vogue’s her turn to have one.”

Aitch

The Sun told how BRIT-Award winner Aitch is poised to sign for this year’s I’m A Celebrity.

The 25-year-old would be the first rapper on the hit ITV show since Tinchy Stryder 11 years ago.

A TV insider said: “Aitch has a massive following among teenagers and 20-somethings and bosses will be hoping he’ll bring a new generation of fans.

“He’ll make for great viewing as he has a plethora of stories from his time in the music industry.

“He’s also known for having a sharp wit which will keep his campmates and viewers entertained.

“Producers want a broad appeal for audiences at home, and he forms part of the bid to have celebrities of all ages taking part.”

Lisa Riley

Emmerdale legend Lisa Riley – who plays Mandy Dingle – would be a huge signing for the ITV show.

Lisa was understood to be one of the first stars to sign up to this year’s edition of the programme.

When speaking to The Sun on the red carpet of this year’s National Television Awards she revealed it was “flattering” to be asked each year to take part.

However, she played down reports and insisted: “They ask me every year to do it.

“Listen, who knows, I think I would be camp and fun and I’d have a laugh.

“I wouldn’t want to cook if we did go in there as I’m not a***d about that.

“But no I’m not, they’ve asked me for seven years now – every single year.”

Lisa went on to add: “I don’t know [why she turned it down].
