Max Verstappen will start on pole position for the 2025 US Grand Prix, alongside Lando Norris at the front of the starting grid.
But championship leader Oscar Piastri will only start sixth as his frustrating weekend continues, having failed to finish in Saturday’s sprint race where he crashed with McLaren team-mate Norris.
Scroll down or click to see how the grid will look when it lines up for the 19th race of the season, which starts at 8pm BST (2pm local time).
Qualifying saw Verstappen tighten his grip on this round at Circuit of the Americas. He had earlier won the sprint race, which he also started on pole.
The Red Bull driver was three-tenths of a second faster than Norris, even though he missing the chance to set a faster time: he crossed the start/finish line to start his final flying lap seconds after the session had ended.
As an indication of the size of his advantage, that same 0.3sec margin covered second to seventh places on the grid, with Charles Leclerc behind Norris, who said that McLaren was struggling for performance more than on Friday. He is followed by George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, Piastri and Kimi Antonelli.

Ollie Bearman starts an impressive eighth for Haas, ahead of Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso.
Verstappen praised the strength of his car in every segment of the lap, despite higher windspeeds that appeared to have caught out Isack Hadjar who crashed on his first flying lap during the first Q1 stage.
Ah he hammered the steering wheel of his Racing Bull in frustration, the red flag brought a pause to the session.
He wasn’t the only one who failed to keep it on track. When the session restarted, Lando Norris had a lap deleted for exceeding track limits and finished Q1 12th fastest.
Alex Albon fared worse: his lap time was also deleted for exceeding track limits and he was eliminated in 19th place, joining Hadjar, Esteban Ocon and Gabriel Bortoleto. Lance Stroll was also eliminated and is expected to start last as a result of a five-place grid penalty for hitting Esteban Ocon in the sprint race.
In Q2 Yuki Tsunoda was complaining that Liam Lawson, from sister team Racing Bulls, was deliberately hampering his flying laps; neither driver made it to the final stage and were joined by both Alpines, as well as Nico Hülkenberg.
Below is the provisional starting grid. This could change ahead of the race if further penalties are applied or a driver needs to start from the pitlane.
