We have less than two weeks until The Witcher Season 4 is released on Netflix and the streamer has been posting various promo materials with some of its key cast, primarily highlighting Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt and Laurence Fishburne’s Regis. On out end, we have some new tidbits about the season as well.

The Witcher to conclude the Jaskier/Radovid storyline in Season 4

We’ve learned that the Jaskier/Radovid romance storyline that started in Season 3, will briefly continue and conclude in Season 4. It will happen in the first half of Season 4.

The context for what happens is that Redanian spymaster Dijkstra has a problem: his King Radovid is lovesick after the events of Season 3. He doesn’t have his head in the game, whining and daydreaming all the time, not paying attention to the war. So Dijkstra finds a solution.

In the fourth episode of Season 4, Geralt and Jaskier find themselves captured by Redanian forces after a sequence that involves a refugee camp, religious zealots, Regis and a horseshoe. That sequence will be familiar to anyone who has read the source material.

Dijkstra thinks quickly and takes advantage of this opportunity. He has Jaskier brought to King Radovid while having Geralt loudly tortured just nearby, so that Jaskier can hear it.

The bard and the king have a very dramatic conversation, but in the end Jaskier hears Geralt in pain and ultimately chooses his friendship with Geralt over a romantic feeling to Radovid. That’s Dijsktra’s plan to shake his king up and get him back into the game.

That is also when Regis comes to the rescue and we already saw that part in the newly shared clip from the upcoming season.

As far as Jaskier’s love life goes, we don’t know for certain what happens next, but we do know that Toussaint will appear in the final season and duchess Anna Henrietta should most likely appear as well, although we don’t know who plays her yet. But that’s something for perhaps one year from now.

The Witcher Season 4 is in post-production for an October 30, 2025 release. Andrzej Sapkowski’s new Witcher book Crossroads of Ravens is available internationally since September 30, 2025. CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 4 is now in full production.
