A man with a gun made threats outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Devon after a road-rage incident.

Police officers were called to the Exmouth premises just after 11.30am on Saturday, October 18.

Following a case of road rage, it was reported that a man with a gun made threats outside the fast-food restaurant.

The suspect’s vehicle was found outside a property in Sutton Road.

An air rifle was found inside the vehicle and was seized by officers.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a man in his 20s and from Plymouth was arrested when he left the property.

He was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

In a statement police said he has been released on bail.

Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We were called shortly after 11.30am on Saturday 18 October following a report of a road rage incident outside McDonald’s in Exmouth.

“It was reported a threat was made by a male suspect with a firearm.

“Officers located the suspect’s vehicle outside a property in Sutton Road.

“The suspect – a man in his 20s and from Plymouth – exited the property and was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He has since been released on bail.

“An air rifle was found within the vehicle and seized.”
