One Coronation Street actress has shared her excitement over the looming crossover with Emmerdale, that will see the worlds of both ITV soaps collide.
Eva Price actress Catherine Tyldesley exclusively spoke to The Mirror, and shared the events of the crossover, named Corriedale, are on “another level”. Remaining secretive, it was clear whatever she knew was huge and rather exciting.
Saying she “can’t even”, she certainly hinted fans would be blown away by what goes down as cast from both soaps begin to film. She shared: “The crossover is… I can’t even. It’s just on another level.”
On what else is ahead, Catherine praised Corrie boss Kate Brooks for her passion and the twists and turns she has lined up. Catherine said: “I think what Kate and the writing team are bringing to the table, there is so much that they’re doing that hasn’t really been done before.

“Not in a stunt like way, but in a really thoughtful manner where you read the scripts and you go, this is genius and this is needed in the world right now. This needs highlighting right now, well done for tackling this.
“I just feel like Kate has come in like a hurricane in the best way and really shook things up with so much positivity. There’s a really good vibe on set.” Catherine also teased stuff ahead away from the crossover.
She shared with us: “It’s all going on, everything we are getting through. The things they told me we’d be doing before I came back, I hoped they’d stay true to their word.
“[They have and then some] they really have. Every script I’m getting is like oh my God, can you believe that they are gonna do this? And it works. Rooted at the heart of that is Kate’s want to have that old school Coronation Street feel.

“She’s a huge fan of the show and I really feel that she is instilling that into her work, you can feel it and I can see it when I’m watching other people’s scenes. It feels like old school Corrie and that us hugely important to other people.”
Kate also had her say on the big crossover. She teased: “It’s just dead exciting. I just can’t help but imagine what my mum’s gonna be like watching this episode. She’ll be so beside herself, because, as a soap fan, the idea of sitting down watching your two favourite shows with all your favourite characters interact in this massive, unmissable piece of telly, it’s just amazing.”
Kate added: “I think what we’ve done really well is make sure that the episode encapsulates what makes both shows unique, but also that universal appeal that soap is brilliant telly and it’s soaptastic. So I think that those combinations are going to be a real treat for fans. But I’ve said a lot of things without giving anything away.”
