Kilmarnock have signed Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi on an emergency loan deal.
And the former England youth international could make a quick-fire debut at Ibrox this weekend.
Killie were forced to dip into the market due to a mystery issue with No1 Max Stryjek – leaving Eddie Beach as the only other senior shotstopper.
Stryjek missed Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at home to Hearts with Stuart Kettlewell confirming an issue flagged during a “routine annual screening”.
Now, Hoops rookie Oluwayemi – who spent last term on loan with Dunfermline – has been brought in to bolster the ranks ahead of Sunday’s showdown with Rangers.
A Rugby Park statement read: “We can confirm the signing of goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi on an emergency seven-day loan from Celtic.
“The 22-year-old London-born shot-stopper came through the youth systems at Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic, gaining valuable experience through loan spells with Cork City, Admira Wacker in Austria, and most recently Dunfermline Athletic, where he established himself as first-choice goalkeeper.
“Oluwayemi joins Kilmarnock for an initial seven-day period, in accordance with SPFL rules on emergency loans.”
