Sitting pretty in third. Wow. Yes it’s early in the season. But after eight games it’s a very solid start.

I’m kind of glad I wasn’t at Selhurst Park. I am not sure with the amount of stuff my brain is processing right now, that I would be able to handle the absolute roller coaster that game was. A 2-0 first half lead is something I’ve come to take with a pinch of salt over the last few years of watching football, Cherries in particular. A couple of games against Tottenham, that one against Arsenal. Its tough to take, but I guess it keeps it exciting. Great to see Kroupi getting on the scoresheet twice in Eva’s absence, promising signs from other newer signings too such as Jiménez. It’s great to see such a depth in the squad which has sometimes lacked for us in the past.

I was hoping to be writing this article and giving a positive update on some fight news, however it is quite the contrary. My team and I decided not to proceed after the purse bids for a fight with Roman Fress. His promoter won the purse bid of which the minimum bid had already been halved. We were hoping that my promoter would be able to ‘buy’ the fight off him to get the fight to the UK and at the BIC for another epic atmosphere. My team and I waited through a very drawn out process, crossing our fingers in hope that a contract could be offered to us.

This never came to fruition.

After the WBO pushed the deadline back many times to try and accommodate the best situation for all parties involved to no avail, we had no choice but to tell the WBO that we wouldn’t proceed, to ensure my value and worth are upheld moving forward. It now looks like I will not be fighting until next year. Who and where? Your guess is as good as mine but I promise you now, that I will be back better than ever. It is a delay, but it’ll be worth the wait. I am training daily to improve so when the time comes I am ready to recapture that world title. After all, CBS… Consistency. Builds. Success
