Liverpool could be without five key players for their Premier League clash with Brentford this weekend, after an injury update from Arne Slot. The Reds managed to halt their four-game losing streak – against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League – but that win came at a cost.

Jeremie Frimpong was forced off less than 20 minutes into the match and replaced by Conor Bradley. Alexander Isak also had to be substituted at half-time, with Federico Chiesa stepping into his shoes after the interval.

Ryan Gravenberch did not even make the trip to Frankfurt, either, with Curtis Jones taking his place instead. Here’s a rundown of the latest injury news from Anfield via Mirror Football;

Slot’s verdict: “Alex, not too bad. [A] question mark for the weekend, so let’s see where he is then.”

Potential return date: October 25 vs Brentford (A)

Alisson Becker

Injury: Hamstring

Slot’s verdict: “Alisson is not in the squad tomorrow [Saturday]. That’s also going to take a little bit longer.”

Potential return date: Late November

Jeremie Frimpong

Injury: Hamstring

Slot’s verdict: “Jeremie is not in a good place. “What I mean by that is he is definitely not going to play tomorrow or next week. [A] hamstring injury, so that’s going to take a while.”
