IT: Welcome to Derry is a prequel series to the 2017 blockbuster horror movie hit IT and its 2019 sequel IT: Chapter Two. Skarsgård reprises his role as Pennywise the Dancing Clown from the IT movies for IT: Welcome to Derry.

Rated TV-MA, IT: Welcome to Derry also stars Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe and Rudy Mancuso.
IT: Welcome to Derry is set in 1962, 27 years before the events of 2017’s IT. The pilot episode of the series begins streaming on HBO Max on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and will air on cable on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The key creatives behind the IT films — director Andy Muschietti and producer Barbara Muschietti — are back as creators of IT: Welcome to Derry, along with Jason Fuchs, who was a co-producer on IT: Chapter Two. In a press release by Warner Bros. Discovery, King noted how he was thrilled that the Muschietti siblings were back on board for IT: Welcome to Derry.

“I’m excited that the story of Derry, Maine’s most haunted city, is continuing, and I’m glad Andy Muschietti is going to be overseeing the frightening festivities, along with a brain trust including his talented sister, Barbara,” King said in a statement. “Red balloons all around!”
What Time Do New Episodes Of ‘IT: Welcome To Derry’ Come Out?
IT: Welcome to Derry consists of eight episodes. Like the pilot episode, new episodes of the series come out on Sundays and start streaming on HBO Max at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and begin airing on cable on HBO at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Nov. 2: Episode 2 — The Thing in the Dark
