Michelle Keegan left a Coronation Street star with ‘no words’ as she revealed her friendship with a Hollywood A-lister on social media.

It’s been a busy period for the 38-year-old, who welcomed her first child Palma Elizabeth Wright into the world with her husband Mark Wright in May.

Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Michelle’s popular BBC series Ten Pound Poms won’t be returning for a third season.

Playing the role of nurse Kate Thorne, the series followed a group of British citizens who emigrated to Australia in the 1950s.

A BBC spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: “It’s been a joy to bring the story of the Ten Pound Poms to life for BBC viewers and we are really grateful to Danny Brocklehurst, Eleven and all the cast and crew who have worked on the series.”

The Stockport native will next be seen starring in ITV’s In The Blame, where she plates a detective investigating the death of a teenage figure skater, starring alongside Douglas Booth as DI Tom Radley.

Since leaving Corrie, where she played Tina McIntyre for six years, in 2014, Michelle has gone to find global success through a number of hit shows.

Last year saw her starring in Netflix adaptation of Fool Me Once, a Harlan Coben adaptation which amassed 61 million views globally in its first two weeks on the streaming platform.

With the series one of the UK’s biggest of recent years, Michelle took to Instagram on Saturday to share snaps from attending an event promoting Harlan’s latest book Gone Before Goodbye.

In an unlikely exchange, Michelle shared a picture with her 7.5 million followers of her posing with Legally Blonde legend Reese Witherspoon, who co-wrote the novel with Harlan.

She captioned the post: “When two geniuses collide.. ‘Gone Before Goodbye’ is made! (I can confirm Reese Witherspoon is everything you’d imagined her to be, what a woman ).”

Replying to the post, Reese stated: “So wonderful to meet you .. finally!”

With Michelle joining forces with the actress who has appeared in The Morning Show, Friends and Big Little Lies, her famous pals rushed to the comments section to express their shock.

Maria Connor actress Samia Longchambon, who worked alongside Michelle on the cobbles for a number of years, said she had ‘no words’, along with the mind exploding, flame and love heart emojis.

Autumn Girls’ Maria Debska said: “It was so good to meet you.” Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey posted: “Amazing chelle.”

Kelsey Parker stated: “Amazing!” Podcaster Chloe Smith noted: “Oh how magical! You deserve it.”

While acclaimed author Harlan commented: “Awww it meant the world to us to have you and Mark there.”
