EastEnders fans are convinced that Jasmine Fisher isn’t even the real name of a new Walford resident after she displayed some odd behaviour in the latest episode of the BBC soap

Tonight, EastEnders fans appeared to work out a new twist involving the character of Jasmine Fisher. The new Walford resident, who is played by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness, only started appearing on the BBC soap in September but has already exhibited some ‘suspicious’ behaviour that has led to speculation amongst viewers.
Little is known about what she is doing in the East London borough, and in the latest instalment of the programme, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) peppered her with questions which she didn’t seem too keen to answer, even though she has struck up something of a casual relationship with him. Having got herself a job at The Albert, instead of answering anything about her background, Jasmine simply decided to make sure Oscar kept drinking so she could avoid the whole situation before going to plant a kiss on him.

Things took a telling turn when Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) reminded Jasmine that she still hadn’t given her her bank details or address, and she simply fumbled some excuse about owner Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) having done them. Brushing off the whole situation, she said: “I actually really need to get my bus.
“Look, I’ll message Cindy. Cash in hand at the end of the week is fine,” she added before heading off.
Still not convinced, Elaine asked Oscar if he knew anything and when he slurred a reply confirming he didn’t, the pair vowed to find out the truth. Upon seeing the odd interaction, fans instantly flooded social media with their theories, with several predicting that Jasmine isn’t even the barmaid’s real name.
One fan said: “We know nothing about Jasmine, the way she isn’t giving any of her details to Elaine, Oscar doesn’t even know and he’s been hanging around with her.. is her name even Jasmine”
Another fan wrote on X: “I’m starting to wonder whether Jasmine is using a fake name. That scene in the Albert tonight was interesting.

“Nobody knows Jasmine’s Bank details or address. That note last week also looked very suspicious. I wonder if Jasmine is working undercover for The Fords?” Jackie Ford is Cindy’s former cellmate, who she turned on, which resulted in her getting a reduced sentence and later being placed into witness protection.
When Jackie died in prison last year, Cindy was able to return back to her real identity. Many believed Jackie could be Jasmine’s mum, but in a recent episode, the doctor informed George and Oscar that they had rang her mother, although she wouldn’t be coming.
Following tonight’s scenes, another fan admitted they weren’t convinced there were any links to Cindy at all. They wrote: “Yeah I don’t know why but I’m convinced that the Cindy links are a red herring. I’m still trying to work out what is true and what isn’t. I definitely think Jasmine is using a fake name – hence her lack of bank details and address in tonight’s episodes!” It’s also been theorised that Jasmine is the secret daughter of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
As we know, Zoe gave birth to twins in 2006. She later walked out of the hospital leaving her baby boy behind, with her daughter unfortunately believed to have died.
One fan wrote: “I’ve stood by the Jasmine is Zoe’s daughter theory from the moment she arrived in Walford and had her first scene with the Slaters but the Cindy mentions have thrown me off slightly. Either way I hope the secret surrounding Jasmine is big and substantial,” although one wasn’t looking forward to the outcome if this was the twist.
They wrote: “It’s going to be so underwhelming when they reveal jasmine is Zoe’s daughter…”
