Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has quietly recast the role of Faith Hudson, after three years away from the village.
Faith last appeared on screen in 2022, before moving to New Zealand with her mother Liberty Savage. Though Liberty returned to Hollyoaks last year, Faith remained abroad with her uncle Dennis.
This week, the soap revealed that the character had been recast, as Faith was reunited with her family. Tuesday’s episode saw actor Lottie Tatton taking over the role, which was previously played by twins Elsie and Lyla.
The scene featured a disgruntled Faith, chaperoned by Jez and Martha Blake. Faith was unhappy that she couldn’t attend Jez and John Paul’s wedding, as it was an adult-only event.

Tatton’s debut on the soap was celebrated by her acting school, The Drama Mob, which is run by Coronation Street‘s Tina O’Brien.
Taking to Instagram, the acting school congratulated Tatton on her new role and shared some behind-the-scenes shots of the scenes.
“A huge well done to our fabulous Lottie who has just made her debut on Hollyoaks playing Faith Hudson!” read the caption. “Lottie has been a member of the Drama Mob family since she was born – her mum Jenna is one of our amazing teachers!”
“We’re so proud of her and know she’s going to absolutely smash it! Well done Lottie!”

Faith’s return to the soap comes ahead of a huge storyline for her mum Liberty. Viewers already know that Liberty has feelings for Jez, after they recently shared a kiss and slept together.
In upcoming episodes, Jez uses Liberty to make John Paul jealous, following the cancellation of their wedding. But how will the Blakes react to the controversial new romance?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
