You’re on a bus, or perhaps on the metro. Ordinary trees and houses zip past the window. Around you, people are reading, swiping through their phones, or grabbing a quick nap.
You think it’s just another ordinary day.
But not tonight – the spooky season has arrived.
This 31 October, our coverage of the day’s Halloween events will start eight floors up at BBC New Broadcasting House in London, where Radio 1’s Greg James has been plotting his own festive mischief. We’re expecting his trick-or-treat very soon – at 08:00.
As the day goes on, we’ll be dropping in on Europe’s largest Halloween festival in Londonderry, and darting around the globe for all the shocks and funs.
We’re also keen to hear how you’re marking the occasion, so do tell us when we share our contact details in the next few posts – after all, Halloween may be for the ghostly beings, but our coverage is all for you, our mortal readers.
