Conor Benn is returning to his roots as he gears up to renew his hostilities with Chris Eubank Jr.
After coming up short against his fierce rival in a barn-burning inaugural encounter in April, ‘The Destroyer’ is switching his training camp from Mallorca to Essex.

Benn and his team relocated to the sunny Spanish island, where he spent 12 years of his childhood, and left no stone unturned in preparation.
However, ahead of his sequel with Eubank Jr on November 15, Benn has opted to return home in order to feel the full ‘magnitude’ of the all-British showdown.
What has Conor Benn said about his training camp change?
“I’ve cut my camp down to eight weeks, and it is all being done at home,” Benn told Ring Magazine.
“I want to feel the magnitude of the fight, [I] didn’t want to disappear to another country.
“On my land, I’ve got an annexe, where me and my team are all plotted up for training camp.”
The change of scenery will provide him with much-needed family time, even if it only comes in spurts.
“It’s totally different to last time, but I like to see my kids, if only for a few minutes,” Benn added.
“My son will run over and say, ‘Daddy, can I go on the quad bike?’ or ‘Daddy, is this where you’re sleeping?’
“I’ll see them here and there and share little moments, ‘Quick, come over here and give me a cuddle’.
“I’ll quickly run over to cuddle my daughter. Why should I miss those moments?
Conor Benn releases new sparring footage ahead of Chris Eubank Jr rematch as fans all say the same thing
“Their faces whenever they see me is just priceless, and I will say, ‘All of this, what I’m doing, this is for you guys.'”
Benn’s training for the rematch will change, and so too will his approach.
The son of a legend admitted that he was too emotionally invested when he first locked horns with Eubank Jr and has promised to fight with his head rather than his heart this time around.
“It’s a matter of sticking to the tactics and the game plan,” Benn said.
“Rather than me going in there and trying to inflict pain and damage, for me, I should have just been more disciplined, more calculated and punches in bunches.
“I was so eager to get in there and do some damage, which you could say I done. But for me, it’s all about winning this time round.”

While Eubank Jr has recruited the services of Terence Crawford’s head coach, Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre, in place of Jonathan Banks, Benn is sticking to what he knows.
Tony Sims will once again take the helm, with Dan Lawrence returning to the fold to provide expertise in strength and conditioning.
