Having worked on its own PS5 games in Silent Hill 2 and Cronos for the past few years, Bloober Team’s new publishing label will properly kick into gear at the start of next year as it brings its first title to market.
The developer’s first project to launch on PS5, I Hate This Place comes from Rock Square Thunder, releasing on 29th January 2026. It’s an isometric, survival horror experience based around crafting, with a comic book art style. See some new gameplay in the trailer above.
The game is structured around a day-night cycle, where you explore the world and find resources and items for making things. Then, when darkness comes, more difficult enemies appear. As for the art style, it’s based on the comic books of the same name by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin.
