Aardman has unveiled a first-look teaser for Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom, perfectly timed for the Halloween holiday. Shaun and his mischievous flock’s next big-screen adventure will hit theaters around this time next year, distributed by Sky Cinema in the U.K. with Studiocanal as the film’s international partner.

In this new feature, the Mossy Bottom crew is gearing up for Halloween festivities until The Farmer’s trademark clumsiness destroys their prized pumpkin patch. Determined to make things right, Shaun dons a mad scientist’s lab coat — but his latest experiment quickly goes haywire. When The Farmer vanishes and rumors spread of a mysterious creature haunting the woods of Mossingham, the flock must face their most hair-raising escapade yet.

Steve Cox (Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd of the Flies) direct from a script by Mark Burton (Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Shaun the Sheep Movie) and Giles Pilbrow (Horrible Histories, Shaun the Sheep: The Flight Before Christmas). Richard Beek is producing, and Nick Park, Peter Lord, Carla Shelley, and Sarah Cox are studio executive producers.

This feature is Aardman’s third starring Shaun, following its two Oscar-nominated predecessors, Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) and A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon (2019). Both previous outings charmed critics and audiences with their dialogue-free humor and carefully crafted clay animation.
