If you’re loving Alan Carr on The Celebrity Traitors, then we have big news for you. The comedian’s perfect ’80s-set British sitcom is returning to ITV — and it’s coming very soon. Changing Ends (a semi-autobiographical comedy about his life as a youngster) will be back on our screens for season 3 later this month. And all the principal cast are returning, too!

The new episodes will see young Alan become a teenager in the summer of ’89. The youngster has to deal with all the awkwardness of growing up, which is only made worse when he develops a crush on his friend Jake.

Things are also tough for Alan’s football manager dad Graham. His team, The Cobblers, find themselves relegated to division three.

Independent described season 1 as “that most joyous of things: a smart, inventive, honest and charming coming-of-age story. It’s also, in the case of Carr, the making of a national treasure”.

The Guardian shared in its review of the first few episodes: “It would take a hard heart not to fall for Changing Ends. It is a steamroller of a comedy, open, welcoming and beaming with easy charm.”

More recently, Alan’s made headlines for his behaviour as a Traitor on The Celebrity Traitors. The comedian shocked us all by flipping from being the worst Celebrity Traitor to the best overnight, but there’s still one way the Traitors could win the show before the series draws to a close later this week.

As for Changing Ends, it was announced last year that the comedy will return for two more seasons.

That means there’s at least one more set of episodes to look forward to after season 3 wraps.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Changing Ends are available via ITVX. Season 3 will debut later this month on ITVX, ITV1 and STV.
