Widnes Vikings are excited to reveal our seventh addition ahead of the 2026 season, as winger Frank Sergent arrives at the DCBL Stadium from Warrington Wolves.

Sergent, 19, joins the club on a one-year deal. A product of the Warrington Academy, he has gained a wealth of experience at reserve level and featured against the Vikings in our pre-season victory against the Wire in January.

The rapid winger also gained valuable first-team experience on loan with Swinton Lions last season, making 15 appearances for the Manchester club, scoring five tries.

On signing for the club, Sergent said: “I’m really happy to be here. I’ve had some great chats with Allan, and it made me quickly realise I want to be part of this team and what they’re doing moving forward.

“Obviously, a lot of last season I played at Swinton, so I’m hoping to build on that experience.

“Playing in this league is really physical, so bringing the ball out of the back field is really important, and hopefully I can bring some speed and agility to the team.”

Sergent enjoyed a strong end to the campaign for Swinton, scoring three tries in his final four games for the Lions.

Head Coach Allan Coleman commented: “We need to focus on developing and nurturing young talent and Frank is certainly a talented player.

“He showed last year on loan at Swinton how dangerous he can be in this league, so he really excites us.”

Welcome to the Vikings, Frank. We can’t wait to cheer you and the rest of the team on next year!

Signings like this are assisted by the fantastic Widnes VIPS scheme in place to assist in strengthening the Vikings’ squad. If fans wish to sign up for the scheme, they can do so here.
