One Tree Hill, the iconic noughties teen drama, is trending in the UK following its success on a streaming platform.

The series aired for nine seasons and 187 episodes between 2003 and 2012, with the drama following the hopes and dreams of various characters in the fictional North Carolina town of Tree Hill.

Though it may have concluded over a decade ago, One Tree Hill is still striking a chord with audiences in the UK, with the series currently reaching the top 10 of the charts on streaming service ITVX.

This popularity with audiences is also reflected in its average user rating on IMDb, with the teen drama boasting an impressive score of 7.8 out of 10 from over 92,000 reviews. Its average audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is also solid, currently standing at 68%.

“As the first teen show I’ve ever watched, this will never not be nostalgic,” noted one user on IMDb, with another adding: “It’s the kind of show who you wanna watch for more than two hours a day feeling every episode just like a minute of the day. A real pure jewel for TV.”

“One Tree Hill is one of the most underrated shows on Television, and this is due to the fact that most people dismiss this show at first hand because they compare it with other teenage shows,” wrote another user, who described the series as “relevant”.

“The high school years in particular are generally much better than the standard high school series,” added one other user, with another declaring it the “best written teen drama” that they had seen.

While fans are currently binging on the series, audiences could soon have another slice of drama to watch after Netflix confirmed last year that it would be rebooting the iconic series with a continuation including several members of the original cast.

The sequel is said to focus on Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) and Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) as they raise their own children, with the series depicting their parenthood as well as the teen drama we come to expect.

One Tree Hill is streaming on ITVX.
