The proportion of a city’s population accessing mental health services increased last year.

According to Peterborough City Council, the number of people accessing adult mental health teams rose from 167 to 194 over the course of the 2024-25 financial year.

There was also a rise in those accessing mental health services for older people, from 46 to 56 across the 12 months.

An annual report, presented to a council scrutiny committee on Tuesday, external, said funding to the local NHS mental health service would increase with inflation next year.
