Armed police were called outside an Asda store in Derby following reports of a woman being stabbed. Officers swarmed into the supermarket at around 8.35pm on Wednesday, after the victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered slashes to her arm and hand.
The woman was then rushed to the hospital for further treatment for her injuries, where she remains today. Armed officers continued to search around the Asda in Sinfin, Derbyshire, for their main suspect, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Derbyshire Police are continuing to search for the suspect, a woman in her 40s who was known to the victim, and is asking the public for help.
Officers are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the stabbing.
They are particularly keen for dashcam footage of anyone who drove past the store in Arleston Lane before or after the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police via their website, the Derbyshire Constabulary Facebook page or by calling 101, quoting reference number 25*650066.
