November’s spectacular Beaver supermoon has appeared in our skies.
The Beaver Moon is the largest and brightest full moon of the year.
‘Supermoon’ is the name given to the Moon when it’s both full, and at – or near – the closest point to Earth in its orbit.
There are normally twelve full moons and each one has a different nickname.
November’s full moon is believed to be called Beaver Moon because it is when the animals start building their dens, though others say it is when Native Americans would set traps for beavers.
