Paradise Park has provided a crucial update, including a video captured by Ben Oaks, which shows Frankie flying over the Hayle Estuary at approximately 12:30 pm on Sunday. This evidence has helped the park pinpoint the main areas where the public should focus their efforts.

A park spokesperson has asked the community to remain vigilant in the areas of Newlyn, Longrock, Marazion, and the Hayle Estuary, as well as the surrounding districts. The team is actively following up on leads, including one unconfirmed report of possibly hearing Frankie near Crowlas in the early hours of the morning. “It does appear she moves around a lot at night,” the spokesperson added, suggesting Frankie may be harder to spot during the day.

The park has confirmed that Frankie would not survive long in the wild.

They said: “Flamingos have a special diet as mentioned above, and although they feed on algae and the small prey described, which would be available locally, this would become more difficult as the weather gets colder.

“There are also risks from predators like foxes. When not flying, she would be on the ground, as flamingos are wading birds, so putting her more at risk.”

The park team is taking proactive steps to aid her search, including playing flock sounds through speakers and arranging to place free-standing food stations in suitable areas. They are also advising the public on identification: look closely at her beak, as Frankie’s is large and curved, unlike the straight beak of a common stock.
