A former I’m A Celeb star has been revealed to be making a shock return to the jungle this year ahead of the 2025 launch next week. Comedian Seann Walsh is set to reappear on our screens this year as jungle fever hits the nation – however it will be in a slightly different capacity.

Joel Dommett, another I’m a Celeb star and presenter of Unpacked, has revealed that his comedic rival will be appearing as a guest on the panel of the spin-off show.

With his return to the show rooting him as a fixture of the Unpacked family, Joel said: “I’ve known him for years and years. I’ll always remember that Seann was in a competition with me on my fourth ever gig, he went through to the semi finals and I didn’t.

“So he beat me in a competition and rightly so, he was better at comedy than me. We’ve buried the hatchet now.”

While Walsh came 11th in the 2022 series of the ITV competition, the 39-year-old came into the show already under fire as a late arrival due to his controversial time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

While on the BBC dancing show, Walsh was photographed kissing his professional dance partner Katya Jones. At the time both of the celebrities were in relationships.

By coming on to I’m A Celeb in 2022, the comedian hoped he could show the nation the “real him” and move on from the negative perception that clouded him.

Other celebrity guests set to join the Unpacked panel this year include Lioness Jill Scott and former King of the Jungle Sam Thompson.

Joel, who will be hosting the show alongside Capital Radio DJ Kemi Rodgers , added: “Our last Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott came out last year and she’s just so lovely and so funny and also an incredible athlete.

“It’s a mad thing, you forget that alongside this she’s also an incredible football player. I’m excited to hear what she thinks about the new campmates.”

In a switch up from previous years, Joel has also shared that he will be bringing his family – four-year-old son Wilde and wife Hannah Cooper – with him to the jungle this year as he prepares for the spin-off show.

Main host Dec, who has two children – Isla, seven, and Jack, three – with his wife Ali Astall, also does the same each year for the duration of the show.

Joel said: “This year I’m taking my family with me, so it’s going to be great getting home from work and being able to see them and Wilde learning how to swim and all of that stuff. I’m really excited for them to be there. Hopefully I can enjoy a bit of family time before I have to go to bed at 3pm in the afternoon.”

The 40-year-old is also glad to have his wife by his side as he admitted that he struggles by himself. The star said: “Every year halfway through the run, I realise I’ve run out of clothes and I have to go to the nearest town to buy lots of stuff.

“I never take enough, my wife despairs at my packing. At some point, you have to understand that you have to wash your pants and do a washing run every five days.”

Co-host Kemi is also excited for the new series to begin and is keeping her fingers crossed that a creepy crawly doesn’t land on her head like last year.

She said: “That’s the brilliant thing about Unpacked. If something goes wrong, it’s going wrong and everyone’s going to see it.

“I remember my first ever show of the first series last year, the moment that Joel was introducing me, for the first time, a massive bug landed on me and I was screaming. And this was my introduction into the entire show and I had to apologise.”

For those excited to watch the 2025 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, the show will launch at 9pm on November 16 on ITV, with Unpacked starting at 10:35pm on ITV2.
