Why does it have to be so hard to do things sometimes? All Jonny Santos, the frontman for Spineshank, is trying to do is go to the UK for the band’s touring return. Spineshank’s first show back in the region since 2023 was on November 6 in Manchester but Santos was unable to join them because of some sort of problem with his passport. Go figure.

He’ll hopefully be back with his fellow nü-metal mates in the coming days, but the band has recruited Hostage’s James Mills to handle the mic in the meantime.

Spineshank shared the following all-capital note on their socials:

“HI EVERYONE. WE’VE ARRIVED IN THE UK…WELL MOSTLY. UNFORTUNATELY JONNY ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE WITH HIS PASSPORT AND WAS NOT ABLE TO FLY. THIS IS BEING CORRECTED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AND WE EXPECT HIM TO JOIN US BY THE WEEKEND.

“AS THE REST OF THE BAND ARE HERE AND WE DON’T WANT TO LET ANYONE DOWN, OUR FRIEND JAMES MILLS FROM HOSTILE WILL FILL IN ON VOCALS FOR THE MANCHESTER SHOW (AND NORTHAMPTON IF NEEDED). WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THIS UNEXPECTED ISSUE BUT ARE EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO PLAY ALL OF THE SONGS YOU WANT TO HEAR. MORE INFO ON JONNY’S ARRIVAL ASAP”

They went on to add:

“WE KNOW THIS ISN’T THE IDEAL SITUATION, BUT WE CAN’T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR STILL SHOWING UP AND SUPPORTING THE BAND. THIS IS GOING TO BE A FUN, ONE OF A KIND SHOW. @JAYHOSTILEUK IS GOING TO ABSOLUTELY KILL IT, AND WE’D LOVE TO HAVE YOU ALL HERE WITH US. DON’T WORRY, WE’LL BE BACK SOON WIT THE FULL LINEUP TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU. BUT TRUST US… YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME SET TONIGHT”

The band, minus Santos of course, is currently touring the UK and Ireland with Drowning Pool and (hed)p.e..
