New Bradford Bulls signing Connor Wynne has sent a message to the fans after his own and the club’s return to Super League, with the outside back intent on “creating history” at Odsal.
Wynne has signed with the Bulls on a permanent deal after leaving Featherstone Rovers but it’s not his first spell in Bradford, with the outside back previously playing on loan at the West Yorkshire club.
Released from Hull FC at the end of the 2023 season, Wynne had actually spent time on loan with Bradford during that 2023 campaign before signing for Featherstone ahead of the 2024 season.
During his time at Rovers, he was a prolific try scorer, grabbing 35 tries in 48 games which has been enough to earn him a return to Super League with Bradford.
Bradford Bulls recruit hoping to see return of Bullmania
Capable in either the centres or on the wing, the 24-year-old has a strong chance of being a starter and he’s spoken on his desire to create history at Bradford when asked if he feels he could be a “poster boy” of the club’s new Super League era.
“I think that was one of the main reasons as well why I signed here”, he explained.
“I want to create some history with this club. They’ve already got a great history from so many years ago but we want to build that history again.
“To be part of that and hopefully build it will be special and to play alongside some of the players that we’ve got, a great set of players, then it will be great.”
Bullmania isn’t yet back to it’s early 2000s hype but fans are getting back on board following the club’s promotion to Super League and when asked about the growing fan base and if it effects him as a player, Wynne agreed: “100%. For me, I like the fans being included. I get around the fans.
“They’re great and they play a big part in how you play as well, singing loud and proud so definitely get your season ticket and join the club because it’s going to be a special year that I can’t wait to be a part of.”
