Birdman, the “masterpiece” drama starring Emma Stone and Michael Keaton, has landed a new streaming home in the UK. Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Birdman stars Keaton as a washed-up actor named Riggan Thomson, famed for his role as the titular superhero.
The synopsis reads: “In an effort to be taken seriously, a washed up, ageing celeb – famous for portraying an iconic superhero – attempts to mount a Broadway play.
“But as he struggles with the production and the opening night approaches, he battles with his ego and his efforts to recover his family, his career, and himself.”

On IMDb Birdman has a rating of 7.7 out of 10, with many user reviews praising the film and calling it a “masterpiece”.
