Concept artist Benjamin Last has recently posted some of his early designs for two of Predator: Badlands primary vehicles, Dek’s spacecraft, formerly belonging to his brother, and the Weyland-Yutani Super Power Loader. The concepts feature exterior views, secondary ideas, the cockpit, and the main chamber. The main exterior renders here appear close to the final design, with a notable difference being the final front cockpit.
The Super Power Loader it seems was always planned to have a somewhat animal-like stature, and the concepts here explore two earlier versions of that idea.
Check out these earlier iterations below:
I was brought on early in pre-production to help develop vehicle, mech and set concepts for Predator: Badlands, contributing early designs that led to the final look of Kwei’s Ship and the Weyland-Yutani Super Loader.
