Coral have taken the decision to pause all bets on who will become Brendan Rodgers‘ permanent successor.

Wilfried Nancy has emerged as the favourite for the gig, with the Columbus Crew manager believed to be seeking a new challenge.

The French-born MLS coach of the year for 2024 is believed to be closely rivalled by Bodo/Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen for the position.

Crew’s season is now over, after they fell to a play-off defeat at the weekend.

Coral wrote on social media: “Coral has, this evening, suspended betting on the next Celtic manager, with Wilfried Nancy as short as 1-10 before they pulled the plug.”

Coral’s John Hill added: “We have seen a rush of bets for Wilfried Nancy throughout the day, and after sustained support this evening, we have now pulled the plug on our betting.”
