I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here fans are surprisingly divided following reports of a rule change that will ‘shake up’ the upcoming series.
The ITV reality show is days away from a return, with Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly returning as hosts as they head back to Australia.
It’s already been revealed that model Kelly Brook, Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, singer Martin Kemp and Manchester rapper Aitch are among the celebrities heading Down Under.
And they may be pleased to hear the latest news, as show bosses are said to have implemented a new rule change for the upcoming series, in which stars can only do a maximum of two Bushtucker Trials consecutively.
If they are voted for two challenges in a row, they will then be exempt from the next vote. The system will then reset, and celebs can be voted for a further Trial or two afterwards.
But while it was welcome news to some, others felt frustrated that they couldn’t repeatedly vote for the person they would want to see do the Bustucker Trials.

@1989Suggwell said: “What do you mean I can no longer vote for the dramatic ones who are hilarious to watch doing the trials because they constantly ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’. I miss the drama of them being p***ed off at the one celeb who refuses to stick out a trial.”
@tyler22ward wrote: “Games gone.” @NexusworldHQ commented: “This is so woke. There is nothing more satisfying than watching the camp live on rice and beans because the weakest link keeps getting picked #ImACeleb.”
But @_tpwk_28 posted: “FINALLY!!! love a bit of suffering when people are annoying but it gets so boring after a while.” @___nic0la___ echoed: “The best decision they’ve made to be honest, the same people doing the trials gets hella boring.”
@soph_louuxx shared: “Good !! One thing I hate is the same person doing the trials over & over.” @olly_michael96 added: “This change is absolutely needed! Wanted this for ages.”
It comes after, during last year’s series, host Ant McPartlin questioned why the public kept voting Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough for Bushtucker Trials.
He told viewers on spin-off show Unpacked: “I think it’s good to see other faces there. It’s not about Dean.” Dean endured seven Trials in total, and had to end two early.
Ant added: “It’s about us seeing different people down there, and we want to see different people being featured. You just get to a point where you go, ‘Who’s still voting for Dean?’ I don’t get it.” series.
