Adam Peaty’s heartbroken mum, Caroline, had revealed she had to sell her belongings on Vinted to afford a dress for his wedding day, and now she had been uninvited

Adam Peaty’s mum was reportedly forced to sell her personal belongings to help fund his wedding. In recent months, the Olympian and his family have endured a tense relationship and it has now reached breaking point.
Apart from his sister, his family members have been uninvited to his upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay next month. According to his devastated mum, Caroline, the rift has been building for some time. Last weekend, Holly, the daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, celebrated her hen party at Shoreditch House, surrounded by friends and family.
Meanwhile, Team GB star Adam’s mum stayed at home in Uttoxeter, looking after his son from a previous relationship. Sources suggest that Caroline wasn’t invited because she didn’t fit in with the image and crowd of Holly and her pals.
Adam was also in Budapest for his stag do, joined by guests including his soon-to-be father-in-law.
Caroline had been extremely excited for Adam’s wedding, but now faces the heartbreaking reality of missing the big day. Before their falling out, Adam had offered to cover all her expenses, including dresses, shoes, nails and hair. Caroline revealed she would have needed four outfits to get through the entire celebrations.
She had picked out a cream dress that she planned to wear with navy blue accessories, the Mirror reports.

“He told me ‘Only a bride wears white,’ to which I replied ‘It’s not white, it’s cream,'” she told the Daily Mail. While Caroline has returned this dress, she has held on to another.
She chose to keep a gold two-piece outfit with a matching fascinators and the shoes she had planned to wear with the dress, which together cost an eye-watering £452. Speaking about the dress and how she managed to afford it, Caroline said: “Do you know how I raised that money? I sold some things on Vinted.”
Despite the rift, Caroline admits that she still loves her son deeply and that he will always be welcome at the family home in Staffordshire. She also shared that, after returning from dropping off Adam’s son with his mother, she felt as though she “didn’t want to live” anymore.
“This has broken me,” she said.

Adam’s older brother, James, known as Jim, had been asked to be a groomsman at the wedding on December 27, but has also reportedly been uninvited.
Earlier this week, James was arrested and later released on bail following allegations that he sent threats to Adam while he was on his stag do.
Sources have claimed that Adam’s mum has been enabling James’ alleged behaviour. They went on to add that James had no intensions of harming his brother.

Caroline’s sister, Louise, has also criticised her nephew and Holly on social media. She angrily wrote: “Yes. Adam is a born-again Christian. He’s not living by the tenets of Christianity is he? Where is ‘honour thy mother and thy father’ where is the forgiveness?”
Responding to Holly and Adam saying she had to wear a different outfit for the event, Louise remarked: “How can Adam and Holly ‘source’ sit there and say Caroline wasn’t invited because of the way my sister looks? She doesn’t suit the look Holly is looking for?! WTF body shaming a 60-year-old woman! Jesus Christ on a cracker!”
