April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) comes very close to confessing the truth about her ordeal in Emmerdale soon.

The youngster has been dealing drugs for Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) for the best part of the year. Due to the fact she’s been manipulated, groomed and threatened so much now, April feels she can’t ever leave the dangerous world she’s been lured into.

April’s fear surrounding what could potentially happen to her family if she told anyone about her nightmare was highlighted in a standalone episode recently.

The instalment had seen Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) spend time laughing and reminiscing with daughter April as she was able to enjoy being childlike again, temporarily forgetting the horrendous ordeal she is trapped in with drug lord Celia.

They were heartwarming scenes and as Marlon told the teen that nothing she could tell him would make him stop loving her, she blurted out that she had killed a man! She tearfully opened her heart to a shocked Marlon as he digested what his vulnerable young child had been put through.

April and Marlon prepared to go to the police, sparking the arrival of Ray, who shot Marlon dead. Fans were left in shock, but they then discovered it was a sequence from April’s mind. Completely fearful it would come true, April refrained from telling Marlon anything.

Regardless of her terror, April has ended up at a police station and in this new video, she’s seen telling someone on the phone that she’s been arrested while in Newcastle.

The person April summons to the station is her granddad, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw). In the scenes that follow, April attempts to stonewall DS Clarke, but contemplates confessing all when she asks if April is being exploited.

In the village, as Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) panics as to where April is, Celia is livid to find out she’s been arrested. Though April swears Bob to secrecy, he updates Celia on what happened, and she’s quick to tell him that April’s life depends on how much the police dig.

Celia attempts to shut Bob down as he struggles with April’s secret, wanting to come clean to Marlon, masking her frustration at his insistence.

Later, April is terrified when Celia tells her that she’s out of chances.

What’s next for her?
