The rush to get opened ahead of the Christmas shopping frenzy is on at the Trafford Centre – and we now have the dates for openings including Joe & The Juice, PURESEOUL and Manchester City’s new storeThe Trafford Centre will welcome four big new stores in the next couple of weeks(Image: MEN)

The Trafford Centre will welcome a clutch of new stores in the next couple of weeks – as retailers clamour to get open ahead of the busiest retail period of the year in the run up to Christmas. There are four big openings now confirmed with launches within days.

It comes amid a period of continued growth at the Trafford Centre, with a string of big new store launches over the past few months. In the past two weeks alone the shopping mall has welcomed new stores from lingerie brand Boux Avenue, fitness store Trailberg and gift shop Whittard.

Now, it is gearing up for the openings of four more stores before the December rush begins in earnest. First up will be the opening of the big new Manchester City club store – which has fast taken shape in a unit next to John Lewis on Peel Avenue.

Blues bosses confirmed today that the City store will open to the public on Friday, November 21 at 10am with Blues legends Paul Dickov and Mike Summerbee in attendance. It will become City’s third shop in Manchester, with existing retail sites at the Etihad Stadium and inside the Manchester Arndale shopping centre.

That will swiftly be followed next week with the eagerly-anticipated opening of Korean beauty store PURESEOUL. The blue-and-white branded store has been in the works for some months, but it has now been confirmed that it will open its doors on Tuesday, November 25.

Later that week, on Friday, November 28 will be another big opening – with the Trafford Centre’s first Joe & The Juice bar. Bosses have released new CGIs this week of how their new store is set to look when it opens at the mall next week.

Joe and the Juice was first founded by elite athlete Kaspar Basse in Denmark in 2002, and has high profile fans including tennis world champion Novak Djokovic and Manchester rapper Aitch.

Indeed it was Aitch’s plea for Joe & Juice to open on his home turf that apparently sealed the deal for them to make a Manchester return back in March.

The juice brand has been expanding in Greater Manchester in recent times, with new locations including its biggest ever UK store at the Manchester Arndale earlier this year and most recently the opening of its first shop at Manchester Airport.

The final store set to open before Christmas will be sweet shop Haribo. Their hoardings currently state “opening in December” and we’ve been promised an update on the official opening date within the next few days.
