Montoya, 23-6-1 (14 KOs), is a 32-year-old from Mexico. He notched a split decision over Luis Alberto Lopez in 2018; Lopez would go on to capture a featherweight title. As for Montoya, he’s ultimately become a good measuring stick for up-and-comers and prospective contenders.
