Tensions flared again over the I’m a Celebrity cooking between Kelly Brook and Jack Osbourne.

Since ‘potato-gate’, where Osbourne advised Brook how to cut the potatoes earlier this week, tensions have been simmering in the camp.

As night fell in Wednesday’s episode, Brook took charge of cutting the eel while cooking with Martin Kemp. However, the model looked unimpressed with the eel and she caught Osbourne’s attention. He was quick to offer her help, which she initially accepted.

“I saw Jack’s eyes light up,” she playfully said in the Bush Telegraph of the moment. “He was elbowing me out of the way to get to this fish to be a caveman.”

Despite accepting his help, Brook appeared to change her mind about filleting the eel. When she said she would fillet the eel herself, the Celebrity Race Across the World star was left gagging at the sight of its insides spilling out.

In the end, Osbourne ended up skinning, gutting and filleting the eel. Unfazed, he said, “It’s a fish, you rip the guts out. I was like I’m not going to waste [the food].”

Here is the drama as it unfolded in Wednesday’s episode.

Jungle leeches

Earlier on, Brook screamed as she discovered leeches in the pool of water she was swimming in.

After declaring herself the “jungle woman”, the model had persuaded Shona McGarty and Alex Scott to come for a swim, but to their horror, she found leeches. “The little s***s,” she cursed.

Brook told the Bush Telegraph: “We were seconds away from being covered in leeches and eaten alive. Oh my god! We just could not get out of that pool quick enough.”

Then Ruby Wax sparked complaints in the camp over ‘rice-gate’. “I felt like I was eating a rock,” Eddie Kadi said.

Martin Kemp moaned: “Eugh, that’s rough!” Lisa Riley complained that it was “so dry” and Kelly Brook insisted she was “not guilty”.

Wax plucked a long grey hair from her tin of rice, saying: “Let’s find out the DNA.” In the Bush Telegraph, she sheepishly admitted: “I think it was me. I forgot to put the rice down. That’s my fault. I’m sorry. People make mistakes.” Wax shrugged it off.

Ant and Dec couldn’t resist joking that Kiosk Kev was wanted for the grey hair in the food.

Not long after, Wax had a confession for Aitch and a few other campmates. She said: “I think I put it [the rice] on the fire… It’s not my responsibility to take the rice off. Captain Jack wasn’t around!”

Angry Ginge banned Wax from making rice, like he was barred from making fires.

“Should I bury it?” Wax then asked. Her campmates watched in shock as she tipped the rice onto the floor and they gave her a telling off. “The rat won’t even know it was ever here.”

Lisa Riley speaks about her weight loss

Elsewhere, Riley discussed her weight loss. “I’m now size 16-18, but at my biggest I was a size 28,” she told her fellow female campmates.

The Emmerdale actor explained what she felt was behind her weight gain. She said, “My absolute guilt for years and years was blindness to portion control. I cut out the nibbling… I’m never lazy. I think it’s hereditary. I really do.”

The intimate conversation continued with the women talking about menopause and sex.

After confessing she wants to marry Jess Glynne on Tuesday’s episode, Scott spoke about her sexuality on Wednesday.

She said: “It’s completely different with women, especially for me, it’s always been about a deep emotional connection, which then makes the sex more passionate than ever anyway, because you have such a deep bond between you.”

Her first experience with a woman was when she was 17, but she said she continued to fight it. She added, “I had relationships with men throughout my life; there was always something missing for me.”

Wax’s husband ‘not having a good day’

Ant and Dec joked that Wax’s husband Ed Bye wasn’t going to be happy.

The Geordie duo joked about how the celebrity interviewer had chosen to have a photo of cats instead of him. Then they referred to the revealing conversation with the girls where Wax confessed that if she didn’t want to have sex, she would claim to have “herpes for 10 years” before confessing she wishes she were a lesbian.

“It hasn’t been a good day for Ruby’s husband,” Dec said. When Ant said it would be cross words on the bridge, Ant said, “The cats are coming over the bridge!”

Eddie Kadi says ‘my breath went’ in the trial

Eddie Kadi was left “disappointed” with getting six stars in the Bushtucker trial A-scare-um.

“Six stars is still not bad,” he said. “I was in absolute shock. I did not expect to see frogs… I’m never going to the aquarium again.”

Stuck in the tank for the Bushtucker trial, the comedian was swimming with small crocodiles as well as eels and snakes. He had to turn the screws to release the key before he could swim underwater to the chest to free the keys.

Kadi struggled with losing the keys in the tank. Ant and Dec were screaming at the I’m a Celebrity star while he competed in the challenge to give him encouragement.

“Do you know what,” he said. “I got passed the animals. We made friends. The moments I lost the key that threw me… My breath just went. It got tougher.”

Coming back to camp, Kadi shared his disappointment with his campmates. “Let me take a deep breath,” he said.

Lisa Riley and Jack Osbourne discuss sobriety

As the days have gone on, the camp has been getting closer, and Riley and Jack Osbourne bonded over their choice to be sober.

She told her campmates: “[I’m] Full cold turkey sober. It was hard. 10 years in now. Yeah, crazy [drinker]. Three bottles of Malbec a night.”

Angry Ginge didn’t mind countering that he thought that was a sign of an alcoholic.

In the Bush Telegraph, Riley explained: “It’s a decision I made for many personal reasons. I had to take control of that. It was only me who could take control of my sobriety. It’s only other people who go have another one!”

Osbourne also shared in the piece to camera. “I’m enjoying the friendship with Lisa,” he said. “She’s got a heart as big as this jungle.

Talking to camp, Osbourne shared: “It was hard stopping, but once I stopped, I really enjoyed being sober. I found the fun init. This is all good. The hard thing with it is addiction isn’t one thing. It’s a trauma response.”

Riley said her mum’s death sparked her drinking spiral. She said: “When mum died, I could not cope. Inside, I was the biggest broken biscuit. I got to the point where I couldn’t close my mind off. The wine suffocated everything.”

Speaking openly, Osbourne recounted wild tales of his late dad from the 1980s, including the time he bit the head off a dove.

He said: “In like a three year period, he got fired, did his own solo thing — he released two albums, bit the head off a dove, bit the head off a bat, pi**ed on the Alamo and sadly Randy Rhoads the guitar player died in a plane crash all in three years and he had two top ten albums and just like, blew up. It was kind of a wild time.”

Revealing what happened with the dove, he said, “The dove thing happened because they went to the record label. My mum was ‘Come and do a meet and greet. We’re going to do something showy. Here’s these doves put them in your jacket. I want you to release the doves.’ They do that.

“My dad was s*** house drunk. He sits on the lap of this exec from CBS records, and this dove lands on her knee, this dove lands on her knee, bites its head off and spits it on her. It was pandemonium. Before they got to the hotel, it had gone everywhere. All over the news. They leaked it. Instantly, his album charted.”

Martin Kemp discusses brain tumour

The spotlight was later on Martin Kemp, who said he was a “train wreck” after his brain tumour. He told the camp: “For a while I lost everything, I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t see, I was a train wreck afterwards.”

“It was tough for everyone around me,” he said. “Mum, dad, my brother and my wife. One minute I was fitter and healthier than I had ever been in my life. The next minute I was in a minute. It’s a bit like being in a car crash. I thought I was dying.”

In 1995, the boyband star was making a show in Canada and in the makeup studio when they found the lump that would lead to the brain tumour diagnosis. Having made a recovery, Kemp has been left with dyslexia.

Brook said he has made an “incredible” and “inspiring” recovery, having shared a “jaw-dropping story”.
