Ramadani, Duk and Miovski celebrate the win over Rangers
Aberdeen have pulled off a major coup in the transfer market by bringing back the man that has helped to make their recent millions.
The Dons have re-appointed Darren Mowbray to the club.
The former head of recruitment has returned to Aberdeen on a full-time basis.
He is working in unison with sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel, head of recruitment Nuno de Almeida and manager Jimmy Thelin, as they look towards the January window.
Mowbray – the brother of former Celtic boss Tony – was responsible for identifying and bringing in the likes of Bojan Miovski, Ylber Ramadani, Pape Gueye, Duk and Shayden Morris who have all been sold on for major profits.
Miovski went to Girona for a club record of £6.8 million, Ramadani went to Lecce in a seven figure deal and Duk went to Leganes for six figures last January.
Scottish Cup hero Shayden Morris was also sold to Luton this summer for a six figure fee, as was Gueye who the Dons sold to Turkish club Kasimpasa in the last window.

Mowbray first moved to Aberdeen as head of recruitment from Burnley in 2021.
He was there for two successful years before he was headhunted by Southampton two years ago.
Mowbray left St Mary’s in March.
He was working for Aberdeen on a consultancy basis but is now back on a permanent deal.
Aberdeen have made it clear that they want to use the player trading model to turn over players and to develop.
That has dipped with the recruitment since Mowbray departed.
Aberdeen are hoping that Mowbray can help revive that along with their fortunes on the pitch.
